Q & A

Recently I had a bunch of email from Students who want to do my profile as their research, it's make me feel flattered and feel helpful. . .

Here is the Q & A that most of them asked me.

1. When were you born and where?

I was born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1981

2. Did you undertake any formal study and if so where?

Graduated BA Interior design in Thailand before relocated to London 6 years ago. I also studied FdA graphic design at London College of Communication for 2 years, During the time of studied here I did 4 work placement with Me Company, Idn Magazine ( hongkong) , Vivian Cippolla ( London) and start do a bit of Freelance before I graduated.

3. What were the major reasons you chose illustration as a career?

I did try Interior Designer for a short while and realized I didn't really like it. So changed to be Graphic Designer and Y&R followed by Grey Worldwide and found that was very boring for me then I came to studied in London and realized that how much i love to draw and everything here just inspire me. The main reason is that I think imagination is no limited so I just want to create one that in my mind.

4. How did you get started?

I start from doing free works, it was tough but good opportunity. Non-Format spotted me on and gave me my first commissioned. I start finding a job for myself and finally got an agent represent me and keep finding me a jobs

5. What techniques do you use within your art works?

I start from reading brief from client very carefully, having image in my head first. Start from drawing in paper using pencil/pen then fill the colors by felt-tip pen or computer or water color, depends on mood and brief and style that client want.

6. How do you descibe your illustration style?

I never thought about that. I think audience should tell me what they describe about my style. I just do what I like.

7. Would it be possible if you could give me a list of clients you are employed by?

My client is : Sony Playstation3, Non-format, Freya, SelectNY, Mercedes Benz, Sony Ericsson, Artful Dodger, Marc Jacob Perfume, the times newspaper, the guardian ..and more...

8. Is there any quirky information about yourself that you would like to share with me?

Mostly I don't do sketch or first draft works, I usually just go for it so sometime it's quite a pain to do some sketch send to client. I send them email describe about that I'm going to draw and I told them to TRUST me! and most of the time it's work!
